The San Antonio Chamber Music Society is bringing to town the much admired
WindSync Quintet fromHoustonfor a concert on March 1 here in San Antonio. The quintet embraces the classics and the growing contemporary repertoire with fresh sensibility, says the press announcement. In the span of one performance, they can cover vast musical ground. Their San Antonio program includes works by Philip Glass, Kenji Bunch, Elliott Carter, Quincy Jones and George Gershwin. Versatile San Antonio pianist, Daniel Anastasio will join the Houston quintet. (March 1 at 3:15 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church; Anastasio will lead a pre-concert talk at 2:30 p.m.; audience members are welcome to join the musicians and organizers

The world-famous Spanish guitarist Pablo Sainz-Villegas  is returning to the Tobin Center for “an innovative show” with the Agarita Quartet that will feature several world-premiere performances. At the Majestic Theater, you can see “A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical,” based on the true story of a Brooklin kid who became a chart-busting, show-stopping American icon.

The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center’s Theater Arts Program is about to announce the premiere of “Miraculous Mixes of DJ Santa Cecilia”, an electrifying new theatrical work written by Amalia Ortiz and directed by Ronin LaVerne “Dragonfly” Wilson. Magik Theater’s “Dragons Love Tacos” will have a longish run- Feb.28 – May 3, 2026. The Magik is temporarily closed for renovation, but you can see the show at the Carver Community Cultural Center and at Texas A&M University San Antonio. Tickets can only be bought at www.magiktheatre.org

Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival 2026 has issued an “artist call” for entries. To submit your art work, go to Anyartist.org and submit your application to showcase your talent. Application deadline is March 6 (ends at 11:59 p.m. CT.)

Community members, artists, youth leaders and others will come together on Feb. 27 for the blessing and unveiling of Flor Y Canto, a new public mural celebrating culture, creativity and the community voice in San Antonio’s West Side. (Feb. 27 from noon to 2 p.m. at 1215 W. Poplar, free and open to the public}. Flor Y Canto (“Flower and Song”)is a collaborative mural project led by San Anto Cultural Arts and SA Youth. The mural was coordinated by Marco Vargas, Mural Coordinator for SACA, and Jeremy Manginel, SOAR Program Director.

The San Antonio Museum of Art invites you to pause, look closely and connect more deeply with art. Participants will be guided by two SAMA docents; each tour invites you to look closely and more deeply at the art. Tours coming up: March 8 at 11 a.m., and March 11 at 2 p.m.

The San Antonio Book Festival, in partnership with Alamo Colleges District, Texas Public Radio and the San Antonio African-American Community Archive & Museum, proudly presents author Cheryl W. Thompson with her new book: “Forgotten Souls”: The Search for the Lost Tuskegee Airmen.” Book signing will be followed by book sales by Nowhere Bookshop; free and open to the public. Speaking of literary matters, Gemini Ink – San Antonio’s literary non-profit has a variety of programs for both adults and teens. On Feb. 28, Gemini Ink will host a Teen Writing Circle, a free, virtual space for teens to write, connect and share voices. (Feb. 28 at 12 p.m. CST)
