Il Divo –“The Star” is a multinational classical crossover vocal group that has enjoyed great success in Europe. Formed in the United Kingdom in 2003, it is a male quartet that was created and promoted by the British media magnate Simon Cowell for Syco Music, a record label that he had administered. The original members selected by Cowell are: Swiss tenor Urs Buhler, American tenor David Miller, French tenor Sebastien Izambard, and Spanish baritone Carlos Marin. (Note: the word itself is Italian and describes a top male star)
As of 2025, the group had released ten studio albums, one titled “Il Divo.” The group concerts and its studio releases are known for featuring a variety of languages. In San Antonio, they will be joined by Phoenix-based string trio Simply Three. (March 15 at the Tobin Center at 8 p.m.; tickets start at $73)
For one night only, the YOSA Philharmonic will celebrate the legendary music of Billy Joel! Backed by a full orchestra, some of San Antonio’s finest pop vocalists will bring new symphonic color to the iconic songs of the Piano Man. You can sing along to beloved classics such as “Piano Man,” “Just the Way We Are,” “Vienna” and many more. The Greater San Antonio Community Bands Association will hold its 5th annual Community
Band Music Festival on March 28. The GSACBA is composed of 11 community bands in the San Antonio area and more than 500 musicians will perform throughout the day. The oldest German Band outside Germany will perform along with the award-winning Heart of Texas Concert Band. The festival will take place at the Beethoven Maenerchor outdoor. Shakespeare in the Park: The beloved romantic comedy “Twelfth Night” takes the stage inSan Pedro Springs Park March 24 – March 29. Filled with mistaken identities, mischievous antics and unrequited love, this timeless tale follows Viola as she disguises herself as a man and becomes entangled in a whirlwind of scenic outdoor settings; presented by: San Pedro Playhouse.

Fermenting Daydream: Photographs by Tymberline Mauthe. Centered on the question – What separate my reality from yours. This body of work explores the deeply personal nature of perception. Through atmospheric compositions, Mauthe examines how reality shifts from person to person, how emotion and memory alter what we believe.
