As you may expect, not that much is going on this week/weekend as people are focusing on celebrating the holidays in private, with their nearest and dearest.

But a few things are coming up, and, please remember that most San Antonio museums will be open the day after Christmas, and later in the week. It’s a great time to take the family and out-of-town visitors to one or two of our outstanding museums:

And here’s what’s coming up:

Cirque Musica Holiday Spectacular will be at the Tobin Center Dec. 29. It’s a big spectacle of a show with holiday songs. It will be followed by Little Joe & La Familia on New Year’s Eve. Considered one of the pioneers of Tejano music, Little Joe and the Hernandez brothers, Rocky and Gilbert, will entertain in their Grammy-winning style, infusing Tejano with jazz, classical, and other influences. And you might have heard that the very popular Broadway musical “Hamilton” will breeze into the Majestic Theater Jan 5. A limited number of tickets will be available for every performance for $10 each. To get one of those, you have to enter a lottery, which is currently open and scheduled to close Dec. 30. You have to use the official “Hamilton” app to enter: https://hamiltonmusical.com/app. Non-lottery tickets are currently on sale as well, starting at $49+ (Jan. 5-9; Majestic Theater, 224 E. A few local performers are also taking to the stage in the upcoming days. Ruben Vela, a great blues guitarist will play at Sam’s Burger Joint Dec 26. (9 p.m.; $12; 330 E. Grayson; 210-223-2830, www.samsburgerjoint.com)
