“Not Your Mother’s Chamber Music Concert!” says the press release about the concert featuring the LOTUS  SAXOPHONE  QUARTET brought to town by the San Antonio Chamber Music Society. The group’s “genre-defying program blends classical, jazz, and pop that moves beyond traditional classical boundaries.” Formed in 2022, the quartet “literally stormed the classic music world,” winning the 2024 Fischoff Senior Wind Division Competition Gold Medal and First Prize at the MTNA National Chamber Music Wind Competition. The Agarita Chamber Players, will present a LOFT Concert: “Places in South Texas,” featuring the world premieres of new works by the members of the Composers Alliance of San Antonio
written especially for Agarita. This special commissioned project features music inspired by sites in San Antonio, from historic locations to local landmarks. Arte y Pasion, a flamenco dance company “is honored to announce the proclamation of Nov. 16, 2025 “International Day of Flamenco.” The proclamation ceremony and performance, “The Silk Road” will take place Sunday, Nov. 16 at the Main Plaza “Plaza De Las Islas Canarias,”
115 N. Main in San Antonio. The proclamation ceremony is a weaving of cultures and textures echoed by the Silk Road, whose trade routes connected the East to the West and touched countries such as Spain, India and Mexico. Following the ceremony, dancers from Arte y Pasion
will dance and invite community members to join them. On Nov. 16, 2010, flamenco was inscribed by UNESCO as one of the masterpieces of the oral and intangible heritage of humanity. The event is free.

Diwali, SA Festival of Lights, is one of the most important festivals in India, celebrating the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil and the human ability to overcome. Bihl Haus Arts presents “The Process of Becoming a Butterfly,” an exhibition that celebrates the
Palacio de Palomas Westside Art Collective, opening Nov. 15. The group exhibition, curated by Bihl Haus Arts educator and artist Liz Gomez, features 10 multi-disciplinary artists whose work embodies transformation, identity and collective healing.
