Faces of Water

water can be a gracious hostess
who makes room then
let’s me slip into her warmth

water surges up in a dream
where I flounder…
deeper…
down into her smothering darkness

water covers this bed of earth
with blankets of sea

water
in love with the moon
energy of the tides
water
falls
singing
