A TASTE of 2026

There’s lots coming up, so at this point, we are only going to mention a few things happening this month and in February.

 The AGARITA Chamber Players will present “One in Four, One in Eight” a concert performance featuring new music written through the lenses of fertility and pregnancy loss by Katherine Pukinskis. There will be two “intimate performances”: Jan. 16 and Jan. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the AGARITA LOFT, 724 S. Alamo St.#2, 78205. The concerts are free and open to all. The Loft is accessible  by stairs but there’s a chair lift. And a Loft Lecture Series with Daniel (Anastasio) will take place Jan. 7 at 6:30 p.m. www.agarita.org

Balourdet Quartet + Adam W. Sadberry (flute). Together they explore works rooted in cultural identity and instrumental interplay in a program titled “Lift.” It is presented by the San Antonio Chamber Music Society. (Jan. 25)

The Quilt: Live in Concert, presented by Musical Bridges Around the World is scheduled for January 11. The film on which the Jan. 11 concert is based will make its PBS debut the week of February 15, airing on all ten PBS Texas member stations. MBAW is also “proud to announce artists and open tickets for 8 events (7 free,1 paid) of UNITYFEST 2026. This vibrant festival celebrates “our shared humanity through classical and contemporary music from around the world. “Join us in the heart of San Antonio on Valentine’s Day weekend for four days of performances that unite cultures, communities and hearts.” For more info go to

Coming up at the Majestic Theater are: “A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical” (Feb. 24- Match 1), and “Water for Elephants Musical” (Jan, 21-25); Laser Spectacular presents SHINE ON, a live musical and visual tribute to Pink Floyd (January 10); On the 17th you can visit with Mark Twain in “Mark Twain Tonight!” (Jan.17)

At the Wonder Theater, “My Fair Lady” opens Feb. 6th; for more info go to www.wondertheatre.org.

At the Aztec Theater you can catch “Who’s Bad”:The Ultimate Michael Jackson Experience (Jan.8} Parsons Dance will be at the Carver Community Cultural Center Feb. 5 at 8 p.m.

And on Feb. 12, Kenny G Live will be at the Tobin Center at 7:30 p.m.
